Shogun Boer Goats

Shogun Boer Goats was established in 2005, with the purchase of a full-blood male from Mugambi Boer Goat Stud in Forbes; sired by South African World Champion Dr Pepper. With the recent purchase of several pure-bred female boers, we anticipate saleability by early 2007.

Learning from previous experience with cross-breed Cashmere goats, we farm alpacas & goats together. This allows alpaca weathers to protect both alpaca & goat offspring, whilst goat weathers ensure our pastures are free of blackberry, Patterson's Curse & other noxious weeds. Notably these two species complement the grazing of pastures, effectively consuming both weeds & grasses.
